We celebrate Ydalie Turk and Casey Diepeveen, who have made an indelible mark on the South African film industry, telling stories that speak to women’s hearts and the human condition.

Trifole – The Forgotten Roots film review by Gabriele Fabbro with Umberto Orsini , Ydalie Turk and Margherita Buy

By: Marika Tassone

Trifole – Le radici dimenticate second work by director Gabriele Fabbro , written with the leading actress Ydalie Turk , uses the tradition of the Alba truffle ( la trifola in Piedmontese dialect) in the most intelligent way possible to tell a profound journey, which digs into the subsoil of the soul with the hope of finding the blue of the sky.

Rolling Stone

Coming out today, in conjunction with the first days of the Alba International Truffle Fair, ‘Trifole – Le radici dimenticate’ (Trifole – The forgotten roots) is a film by Gabriele Fabbro that presents the present and past of the gold of the Langhe through the lens of memory. We were on site to hear the “trifolau” tell us about it.
